Medium deep purple with additional succulence here. Beautiful charm, grace, harmony, lots of energy, predominantly red fruit, very fine long finish. Purity and grace, with really surprising intensity at the finish. - JM

The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées soars from the glass with aromas of raspberries and blackberries mingled with notions of peony, warm spices, orange rind and potpourri. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, it's rich and seamless, with a concentrated core of fruit, lively acids and a long, saline finish. This is a touch more reserved out of the gates than its communal counterpart, but all the potential it showed from barrel is clearly apparent. - WA
